Remitter has to do a one time registration with the Business Correspondent (BC) with his/her mobile number, name and address details.
BC maintains a remittance pool account with the bank from where the remittance transactions are initiated to the beneficiary account on the basis of the beneficiary bank account number and IFSC code provided by the remitter. Remitter walks into a BC outlet with the remittance amount along with the transaction charges in cash and hands over to the BC agent. The BC agent initiates the transaction in the BC platform which in turn is connected to the Bank's remittance (IMPS/ NEFT as per customer's requirement) engine. Remittance happens instantaneously through a debit to the BC's pool account (or in batches as per NEFT protocol) maintained with the Bank and credit to the beneficiary account. The cash collected at the BC outlet is deposited into the pool account to nullify the earlier debit.

SBI MINI ATM
The State Bank of India had announced the implementation of Cash @ Point of Sale (POS) scheme for implementation through CSC, following an agreement signed with CSC SPV on March 11, 2014. CSCs across the country can now act as a micro ATM, which could be used by people with debit cards to withdraw cash. Specifically, State Bank of India’s (SBI) debit card holders across the country can withdraw cash from their nearest CSCs that have a point-of-sale (POS) terminal installed.
Cash up to a maximum of Rs. 1000/card/day can be disbursed through CSC with POS terminal. This move is in line with RBI’s idea of opening up POS terminals for cash withdrawal that was floated a couple of years ago under the Financial Inclusion Scheme.
Bank has waived to charge the convenience fee to 1% of transaction amount from the customer account. Earlier customers were hesitant to transact at CSC outlet because of this charge.
